Your plan covers emergency medical treatment, hospitalization, prescription medications, and ambulance services. There's a $100 deductible per incident.

It covers urgent and emergency care. Routine checkups and preventive care are not included. However, if you feel unwell, an urgent care visit would be covered.

Dental is covered only for emergency treatment caused by an accident — up to $500. Routine dental and vision are not covered under your plan.

For hospitalization, please call our 24-hour emergency line first. We need to authorize the admission unless it's a life-threatening emergency.

The deductible is the amount you pay before insurance kicks in — yours is $100. Co-pay is a fixed amount you pay per visit — like $20. The out-of-pocket maximum is the most you'll pay in a year — yours is $5,000.

After the deductible, we cover 80% and you pay 20% — that's called coinsurance. This continues until you hit the out-of-pocket maximum.

It depends on your plan. Your policy has a pre-existing condition exclusion for the first 60 days. After that, stable conditions are covered.

Since your trip is within the 60-day exclusion period, a flare-up of high blood pressure would not be covered. However, if you have a completely new and unrelated medical issue, that would be covered.

Unfortunately, you can't upgrade after the trip has started. For your next trip, I'd recommend our Premium plan which waives the pre-existing condition exclusion if purchased within 14 days of booking.
